Every year we put together individual Gift Guides to further our support and advocacy for all the small but mighty makers out there. This year we wanted to do something different! We thought it would be fun to create our first ever shoppable Gift Guide, as a team. We hand selected makers we love and commissioned out some unique gifts for you to buy for your loved ones (or lets be real, maybe even yourself) So without further ado, let's meet the makers.
MEET THE MAKERS
NOTABLE GOODS
Hi! I’m Olivia. The creative mind behind Notable Goods. I was first introduced to textiles and dyeing 12 years ago and haven’t stopped experimenting since! I use only sustainably sourced, organic and low impact materials (can be filtered out at the water treatment plant) and hope to one day grow my own dye garden. I’m endlessly inspired by nature and seize any opportunity to explore my local surroundings. When I’m not up to my elbows in dye or at my sewing machine you can find me living my best life at the beach.

GATHERED BOTANICALS
Aubrey Winfield, owner of Gathered Botanicals, is a professional chef and chef instructor with 8 years of experience running recreational cooking schools. During this time, she realized the importance of what we put on to our bodies is equally important as what we put in it. She began adapting her culinary skills for topical use. Along with her love for the outdoors, she created Gathered Botanicals, an organic skincare line infused with responsibly foraged wild botanicals from West Michigan. Allowing us to care for our bodies in traditional herbal methods with a modern twist.

SUNDEW SEWING
Hello! I’m Sarah, the owner, designer, and maker behind Sundew Sewing Co. I am passionate about slow fashion, and I make every item myself from start to finish in small batches from my home studio in coastal Maine. I hold myself and my work to incredibly high standards of quality and craftsmanship, and I believe it shows in the detail of the stitching and style of my products. In my work I use traditional quilting techniques, textile printing, and natural dye to create one-of-a-kind pieces of textile art you can wear and enjoy everyday. I hope you find a piece to take with you on your next adventure!

DREAMGOATS
Dreamgoats' head herdswoman, Leah Sienkowski grew up playing in the woods, and she is delighted to have found her way back--a playful herd of goats by her side. She is excited about community, education, ecological systems, and agriculture of all forms. When she's not dreaming about soap or cheese, moving fences, or milking goats, she likes to play music and make art. She dreams of rewriting the way we interact with the land and is excited by new forms of cooperation and ownership.
